Have you ever wanted a beehive, but it seems like too much hard work to harvest the honey that the bees have worked so hard to collect and therefore protect?
Did you ever wonder how New Zealand came to have honey bees? Or did you presume, (like I did!) that the honey bee was always here?
We rate all our Manuka honey using the UMF trademark which was first registered as a trademark in 1998. The purpose of it being registered was to control its use and enforce standards.
In July 2014, MPI (Ministry of Primary Industries) issued a new guideline aimed at ensuring that the honey producers selling manuka honey are true to label and not misleading to customers.
