In July 2014, MPI (Ministry of Primary Industries) issued a new guideline aimed at ensuring that the honey producers selling manuka honey are true to label and not misleading to customers. This guideline includes points on how to identify the presence of manuka pollen – including a colour range, smell & taste.

This Guideline became enforced on the 1^st January 2015, and we at Ora Honey welcome the new laws as the integrity of our brand needs to be protected – including the wider brand of New Zealand Manuka Honey.
